With an abstract approach to data visualisation, Data Patterns translates the functional aspect of data processing into a series of decorative digital paintings.
Data Patterns challenges the conventional data related aesthetics, offering a rich organic alternative. Moreover, it celebrates the work of Refik Anadol and his mastery of the parametric data sculpture approach.
The piece was designed as a permanent installation proposal.
Created as a non commissioned research at Pfadfinderei Berlin.
The generative designs were developed using Houdini’s particle system and rendered with Arnold. With a series of designs already created, the core system of the permanent installation allows the integration of new data patterns.
As part of Pfadfinderei, I have created the concept, art directed and developed the installation.
